The ZAPBC program launched in 2017. It focused on residential charging and was approved by the Ministry of Energy Mines and Low Carbon Innovation under the Renewable & Low Carbon Fuel Requirements Regulation. It was a Part 3 Project that generated carbon off-set credits for an obligated party under the Regulation.

The program offered a free Level 2 ChargePoint home charger to residents of BC (province-wide).

The ZAPBC Program offered two options that were implemented in two Phases.

Phase 1 – Go-Live, August of 2018 (Full-Service Installation Option) 

Phase 2 – Go-Live, February of 2019 (Do-it-Yourself Installation Option)

The Society successfully administered over $2.8 million dollars in rebates through this program.
