The Society received funding for the EV Fleet Charging Program by being a successful proponent of the RFP process administered by NRCan. The ZEVIP (Zero Emission Vehicle Incentive Program) went live on February 1, 2023.
The program provided funding towards the deployment of electric vehicle chargers across Canada. The funding administered by EcoForward was specifically focused on fleet vehicle installations across Western Canada.
The allocated funding supported up to 50% of the costs for 50 level 2 (dual port) fleet chargers and 3 level 3 (dual port) chargers which were successfully installed to support commercial fleet vehicles in the province. Beneficiaries of this program included:
